Overview

A grimoire is a journal a witch keeps which includes correspondences, herbal references, and spells. Grimoire of a Crone includes some of that, including spells written in Latin, but also explores the witch as empath and the effect that has upon everything she does. It begins with who we are and then explores life as an empath. From there, rune magick and other divination tools are explored, and yes, there are correspondences. The grimoire ends with an herbal materia medica, for no hedge witch's grimoire would be complete without that. It's a place to begin, and a place for the solitary witch to explore her true nature.

Author Information

Jan Erickson is an empath and witch in her Crone years. She has a BA in Psychology, and facilitated her two sons' homeschooling efforts. Jan earned her Black Belt in Kenpo Karate in 1991, after which she taught along side her husband in their dojo. After thirteen years of severe rheumatoid arthritis run amok, Jan successfully treated her RA after becoming a cannabis patient in 2010, sharing her experiences in Confessions of a Back Porch Herbalist. A Reiki Master and Herbalist, Jan and her husband live on the High Desert of Central Oregon, gardening and beekeeping.
