OverviewThere is an interesting group of children who live in the city. In this book I will be highlighting the city of Boston with a feature story called The Dwellers and the Striders that merges modern-day images of Boston along with early historical imagery and characters. Here we will explore many different and fun aspects of living in a city and the innovative children who bring life and excitement to everyone. The topics are for a slightly older child, yet it retains the fun aspects of Green Stories for Green Children through more advanced topics. Some topics include community activities, diversity, and ideas that stir up creative, environmental fun. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationJessica (Arael) Marrocco has been writing children stories since 2009 and began sharing her stories with children and adults in 2011. This is when she discovered that the children were not only engaged in the characters but also topics about the earth. Most of the stories were written in a poetic flow and have unique illustrated images that inspire young children to draw. The illustrations inspire young children to draw because they are created with colored pencils and have not been enhanced by graphic programs. This allows the children to view the imperfections of the artist. The standard of drawing is never too high for the young viewer as he or she picks up crayons, colored pencils, or paints and begins to create his or her own green characters. As stated in the introduction, all of Jessica's stories come from a source of inspiration as she writes each sentence at a time and never knows the end of the story until she arrives there. It is as if it were dictated by a fairy godmother or higher earth-minded beings. Thus, she decided to craft her image to depict a fun fairy tale character she calls Shilea. The character Shilea is a fairy/Mother Earth-type of woman who tells stories with whimsical music and images. This is only the beginning. Jessica has an archive of stories to share and will be introducing many new friends who help our planet.
