Shin Fujiyama grew up as an ordinary Japanese-American kid in the suburbs of Virginia. As a small-statured immigrant, he questioned his self-worth-until he found soccer. Shin Fujiyama is a CNN Hero and co-founder of Students Helping Honduras and the Villa Soleada Children's Home and Bilingual School. After his college graduation, Shin relocated to Honduras to fight poverty and violence, creating Villa Soleada and raising twenty orphaned and vulnerable children. His organization has built more than sixty schools throughout Honduras since 2004. With a loyal international following, Shin has been featured on Larry King Live.
