Author Information

Professor Walter Leal Filho (BSc, PhD, DSc, DPhil, DTech, DL, DEd, DLitt) is a distinguished ""Euro-Professor"", holding professorial posts at Universities in Germany (Chair of Climate Change Management at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences), United Kingdom (Manchester Manchester Metropolitan University), Sweden (University of Uppsala) and Poland (Merito University). He has two main research interests. The first is in the field of sustainable development, where he holds a world record of publications. The second is climate change, to which he has been providing a key contribution to the literature, also including aspects of climate change and health. He is founding editor of the World Sustainability Series and the Climate Change Management Series, the leading peer-reviewed book series on sustainable development and climate change issues, respectively, with an excess of 100 books published to date. Professor Riri Fitri Sari (Ir, MM, MSc, PhD) is an established academic in computer engineering and sustainability. She served as the Founding Chairperson of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, where she led the development of a global platform for sustainability in higher education. A Professor at Universitas Indonesia and former Director of Information Technology, her interdisciplinary work connects ICT, artificial intelligence, and sustainability, contributing meaningfully to the international discourse on green universities. Prof. Sari has received international recognition, including Honorary Professorships from KazNARU (Kazakhstan), RUDN (Russia), and NPUST (Taiwan). Her research focuses on smart campuses, AI, and blockchain applications for the SDGs. She continues to contribute through keynote speeches and global academic collaborations. Laís Viera Trevisan is a Project Manager and Research Associate at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany. Her background is in Business, and her research interests are sustainability, technology and innovation for sustainable development, smart campuses, and education for sustainability.
