OverviewThis book of poems largely focuses on my relationship with my mother, motherhood, and the great mother. There are stories from my childhood that were riddled with abuse, my teen years with eating disorders, and my adulthood with substance abuse and my difficulties with my sexual identity. What is the great mother? She is a symbol, myth, piece of the subconscious, and goddess spread throughout most cultures and mythologies. I first encountered her at one of my lowest points, I was fighting myself on whether or not to continue living, and decided why not take an absurd amount of psychedelics.
