OverviewThe Black Rock Forest located in the town of Cornwall, New York along the Hudson River is a unique and beautiful woodland paradise. The author of this book, a grandfather, reminisces about his childhood adventures in the forest during the 1950's and 60's. In doing so he connects five generations of family members to the forest. The book is written in short story form enhanced with poetry and photographs. The first two sections of the book describe occurrences during trail rides (on horseback) with a mentor and friend and then later hikes to the forest with teenage friends. In the final section the grandfather tells of his recent return to the forest in preparation for this book.
