Ms. Jaramillo was born in Cartagena, Colombia, but grew up in nearby Barranquilla. She came to the United States in 1962, and now lives with her husband in Flushing, New York. Elivia Savadier pored over hundreds of photographs of Colombia and of the Jaramillo family before beginning the illustrations for Las Nanas. A native of South Africa, Elivia moved to the United States in 1986. She makes her home in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, with her husband and their daughter, Sadye. Las Nanas de Abuelita is her fourth picture book. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
