Prior to working at the Bennington, he worked as an independent curator and had positions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Clark Art Institute, among others. Thomas Denenberg is the director of Shelburne Museum in Vermont. Before taking his position at Shelburne, he served as chief curator and deputy director of the Portland Museum of Art. He has taught at Harvard, Wake Forest, and Boston University and has held fellowships at the Smithsonian Institution and Winterthur. Diana Korzenik is professor emerita at the Massachusetts College of Art. An authority on arts education, she earned her doctorate from Harvard and is an award-winning author. She is the author of Objects of American Art Education: Highlights from the Diana Korzenik Collection. Alexander Nemerov is a professor of art history at Stanford University. He specializes in American art and has written many books on the topic. He has been the recipient of several fellowships and awards, including the Dean's Award at Stanford.
