Author Information

Lorraine Derksen Janzen is the author of Gracie's Playful, Dusty Day (2023). Though she's always known she would one day write picture books for children, she started out life as an educator, working both in a school and with children in other capacities. Lorraine has raised two incredible children and written many articles and poems that have been published in local newspapers and magazines. In her free time, she enjoys going for long walks outdoors, sewing, reading, and building miniature houses from scratch. Lorraine lives in Airdrie, Alberta, with her husband of over three decades.
