Grace's Groceries is a children's book introducing intuitive eating. This book is intended for children to begin their understanding of hunger, fullness, satisfaction, and food variety. The book was written in an easy-to-understand way which can greatly benefit caregivers when explaining intuitive eating to children. Grace's Groceries also incorporates body neutrality and body positivity by explaining that all bodies are different shapes and sizes. We believe that this book will positively impact children's relationship with food and their bodies. This book follows the character of Grace, a young girl who is eager to help her mom with grocery shopping. Readers see Grace and her mother throughout the grocery store as they pick out a variety of food for their family. Grace realizes that her family needs a large quantity of different fresh and frozen foods. At the checkout, she notices that the cashier's body is larger than hers. She then engages in a conversation with her mom about how all bodies are different and good. Grace recognizes all that her body can do for her and how grateful she is for it. 2024 Children's Book Finalist Award from American Writing Awards
