"Myra L. Lovvorn studied nursing in Birmingham at the University of Alabama and has been a registered nurse since 1980, a nurse practitioner for over 25 years and worked with 11 Hospice agencies in Virginia and Chicago, Illinois. She co-authored a book ""The Heart of Hospice: Core Competencies for Reclaiming the Mystery"" and teaches compassionate, presencing with those at End-of-Life. She shares wisdom of stories from dying clients, aimed at providing wellbeing education, practice and self-care, to bridge western medical interventions with the ""Whole Self"" of the individual to optimize healing and transition or Death. The next book will be for any one who is a 'Mystery Watcher' for the dying sharing how to navigate care from diagnosis through and after the dying process. Due to the current cultural climate, there will be many opportunities to 'be with' the dying and share this information with others. Please, share Love and avoid the Fear of death!
