""In my practice, we check the testosterone levels of all men over the age of thirty-five who feel depressed. We do this before we discuss antidepression medications or engage in a course of talk therapy. Checking their testosterone is the starting point. The power of Dr. Maupin and Mr. Newcomb's approach is that it offers science-based medicine and is psychologically sound, all in one package. It's often difficult to find the former in the average low-T clinic; it's unheard of to find the latter. This is pioneering work, and mainstream medicine will be following their lead."" -- Michael E. Mahon, PsyD Saint Louis, Missouri ""As both trailblazers and advocates for women's health, Dr. Kathy Maupin and Brett Newcomb let the secret out when they revealed the absolute importance testosterone plays in promoting the health and well-being of women in their first book, The Secret Female Hormone. Applying the training and education received at Dr. Maupin's clinic in St. Louis using the pellet method for bioidentical hormone replacement, the female patients seen in our clinic experience a higher quality of life, better health, and a restored personal sense of well-being. As a result, many of them ask, ""What can I do to get my husband to come see you?"" The answer is now quite simple: Have him read this book and let's see what happens! I am grateful for this important resource that emphasizes the crucial role testosterone plays in men's health."" -- Jason M. Kolodjski, DC, MSN, APRN, FNP-C Clinic Director, Natural Health Center Houston, Texas ""This book gave me the information I needed to get my head out the sand and get some extensive lab work done. I found out that I had a serious testosterone deficiency that was causing me a lot of issues. Dr. Maupin had talked to me about my joint pain and inflammation for several years before I tried the T pellets. The pellets turned my body clock back twenty years, and now I have a new energy level, I sleep great, I have no more joint pain or inflammation, and my wife is very happy."" -- Brian Dunlop, JD Saint Louis, Missouri Praise for Got Testosterone? She received bioidentical hormone pellet replacement therapy herself after a hysterectomy at age forty-seven, as a last-ditch attempt to save her health, her career, her family life, and her happiness. Dr. Maupin credits the treatment with saving her life. She now helps both men and women worldwide discover the importance and life-changing benefits of testosterone replacement. In 2003, she founded BioBalance Health(R), a medical practice dedicated to helping women and men treat the symptoms of aging with bioidentical testosterone pellets, preventive medical treatment, dietary supplements, and exercise. Dr. Maupin not only has a lifetime of experience in treating men and women medically. She also developed and successfully promoted legislation in the state of Missouri that benefits patients as well as doctors. She wrote the Missouri healthcare initiative, that became the first state to adopt this law in 2001, that required insurance companies to pay for breast reconstruction after mastectomy. In 2015, she and co-author Brett Newcomb published their first book, The Secret Female Hormone: How Testosterone Can Save Your Life, published in six countries. Brett Newcomb has thirty-five years of experience in private practice as a family therapist. He has worked with Dr. Maupin for years to help her patients deal with the psychological and marital ramifications of hormone imbalance and the necessary adjustments that follow successful treatment. Brett was also Teacher of the Year at Lafayette High School in Saint Louis, Missouri, and rose from adjunct professor of counseling to be worldwide director of the counseling program at Webster University in Saint Louis, Missouri. He has consulted with schools around the country and has been a workshop pre- senter for major international corporations. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
