Overview

Daydream is a new virtual reality platform that has been developed by Google Inc. It was initially introduced at the Google I/O in 2016 and is scheduled to be released in November of 2016. The platform is made to be contained in the Android operating system beginning with the Android 7 Nougat system. This platform will include software and hardware specifications with the compatible devices referred to as Daydream-Ready.
