Government watchdogs have failed to detect a Stanford-trained scientist performing illegal brain research on humans. John Selby, the founder and CEO of WizeWell Inc, studied filmmaking at the American Film Institute, developed MindfulPLUS emotion-management programs for Microsoft, Alliance, and Plantronics, led an NIH brain research team at the New Jersey Neuro-Psychiatric Institute, published two dozen psychology/meditation books, and researched the spiritual practices of several native tribes. He's written a previous novel called Powerpoint published by Warner Books, and for the last four years has lived in Santa Cruz researching the Silicon Valley psych-tech industry and culture for his new novel Google Beta 3.
