Book Prize and the Arthur Ellis Award from the Crime Writers of Canada. Born in Winnipeg, she traveled around the world in her 20s and then moved to Vancouver, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Education at the University of British Columbia. She has two grown daughters, a golden retriever and a cat. She lives in Vancouver, British Columbia. Josee Masse grew up in Montreal, where she painted with her father in his studio as long ago as she can remember. After college, she worked as a graphic designer for a few years, before deciding to become a full-time illustrator. Josee now lives near Montreal in the country with her partner and their daughter.
