Professor Anshel earned his doctoral degree in philosophy with concentration in psychology of sport, health, and exercise from Florida State University. Prior to joining the faculty at Middle Tennessee State University, he worked as a performance counselor at the Human Performance Institute in Orlando, Florida, helping to address athlete’s work styles and the psychological barriers that prevent optimal performance, encourage unhealthy habits, and produce low life and sport satisfaction.
