OverviewBill Ward excelled as a comic book artist, but he is best known for his success in two other areas. His busty pinup art in the 1940s and 1950s, coupled with his work for Cracked Magazine in the 1960s and 1970s, overshadowed all other artistic achievements. In the mid-twentieth century, cartoonists made very little money. However, the comic book and gag magazine markets allowed them to make more by selling full rights with each piece. This strategy enabled publishers to reprint art repeatedly (often with new captions) without paying royalties to the artists. When those publishing houses closed, ownership of many great cartoonists' artwork fell into the public domain. American Cartoonist Bill Ward was one of those artists, a visionary who loved to remind colleagues that his surname spelled backward was DRAW. 150 Pages 72 Unique Images to Color (All with hilarious captions) 72 Practice Sheets 2-Page Bill Ward Bio This Adult Coloring Book features images based on Bill's work.
