The author currently resides in Ransom Canyon, Texas. He has a Master of Science degree from Hardin-Simmons University and is a Family Nurse Practitioner. He has two children and two grandchildren. He attends a non-denominational church. He has been involved in two medical missionary trips to Honduras, two medical mission trips to Mexico, and a construction mission trip to Peru. He has also been involved in various Men's and Children's Ministries over the years.
