Karen Pelot is a 4th generation Floridian, and resides in Central Florida with her husband, John, and their 2 amazing children. In Going Public!, Karen condenses 20+ years of presentation and public speaking experience into a handy, easy to digest, and simple to implement guide book. She candidly shares what she has learned from failures, and poignantly illustrates how using what she teaches results in successful speaking, even under extreme circumstances. By day, Karen Pelot is a certified circuit civil, family, and county courts mediator, with her own firm. She holds an MBA and an MA in Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution, and a BS in Communications, with minors in Business and Sociology. Prior to becoming a mediator, Karen enjoyed a nearly 20 year leadership career in the financial services industry.
