OverviewWhile there are stories in the Bible of people seeing God face to face and hearing from God through his voice and through messengers, we see many examples of God working through nature to communicate with his people. When we want to seek God, to communicate with him in a personal way, we can do this by opening our minds and spirits through various avenues: prayer, worship, reading God's Word in the Bible, hearing God's Word through messengers or prophets. We can also find God in his creation, in nature, in spaces that cause us to communicate with Him in unusual ways. This book was written as an exploration into the many ways that we can be impacted by nature to communicate with God. Nancy & Chad determine to show God's faithfulness, despite circumstances, even our own choices, that can take us down paths we never intended to walk; but more than that, their stories reveal how a perfect God communicates with imperfect people, using nature. Humans share a common bond with nature. All are created by God. As the top tier in God's order of creation, we humans can inspire and be inspired. We know that God uses everything for his purpose. Chad grew up in Preble County, Ohio with a bb-gun and his dog, Summers, running the creek-banks by day, and spending his nights in a treehouse by flashlight imagination. With a multi-generational lineage of steel-working, machining, Bible-banging, and moonshining, he grew up in the influence of the church, spiced with a splash of wild in his blood. Contentment was always elusive and caused him a constant search for meaning. His restless soul took him to Russia, China, destinations across Europe, and a four year stint in Guatemala. Along the way he pastored a church, principled a school, and ran relief work through the mountains of Central America. He has three times lost everything and four times started from scratch. His three children are all smarter than him. Chad began writing in his blog, Roaming the Countryside, telling stories of his biological son, his two daughters, international adoption, and providing an unfiltered view of life as a missionary. The successes of his life are humbled by his loss of his marriage after 24 years. Chad is an ordained and licensed minister and has served as a drug task force chaplain with law enforcement. He studied psychology in his undergraduate work and has a Master of Arts in Christian Ministries from Anderson University. His tattoos tell the story of his life and his earrings reflect his tenacious spirit. He is a fan of epic tales and comeback stories. He holds out hope that his final chapters are not yet written.
