He retired after20 years of ministry, of which thirteen years were working with physically disabledpersons, out of his experience with his daughter's incurable illness. He and his wife, Hong Yeon, raised three children. He holds two U.S. patents: Electrical Anti-TheftSystem (1973) and Gas Range Timer Control (1973).
