Min., is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Flippin has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Business Administration from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, Dr. Flippin holds a Master of Divinity, Cum Laude, from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia; while in seminar, he was a Benjamin E. Mays Fellow and The Fund for Theological Education. Dr. Flippin earned a Doctorate of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Flippin is a Certified Life Transformational Coach and also a Certified Leadership Coach Trainer. Faithfully serving as Senior Pastor of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, since 1990, Pastor Flippin has led The Greater Piney Grove to a unique sense of mission and outreach. He also serves as the founder and CEO of The Flippin Legacy Ministries, The Pearl Initiative, Inc. and Pearls of Great Price Ministries, Inc. He is the author of five books; In my Father's House, Order in the Church, Order in the Pulpit, God's Order and his newest book, Vision 20/20; a collection of his favorite sermons preached throughout the years. Dr. William E. Flippin, Sr. is also a proud member of the distinguish Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. In 2009, Dr. Flippin was appointed to serve as the National Chair of The Chaplain Corporation of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. His ministry has allowed him to travel, teaching and preaching internationally in Lagos, Nigeria for The Annual 2009 Missions Conference at West African Theological Seminary, Ethiopia, Africa and the Holy Land of Israel, to name a few. Dr. Flippin has been married for over thirty-five years to Sylvia Taylor, who is an instructional coach for the DeKalb County Board of Education. Mrs. Flippin is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and holds a Masters degree in Education from Georgia State University.
