She and her husband have been married thirty-seven years-twenty of which were spent with her husband's military service. As a family, they traveled the United States and Europe, learning and growing from Christian teachers. She has a bachelor's degree in science education and a master's degree of education in reading and literacy. Today, she teaches elementary students in a local Christian school. She enjoys studying the Bible and recording her discoveries in a Bible-study format. Vinson also serves in her local church by greeting newcomers, the prayer team ministry, and on the church council.
