A beautiful weave of history, myth and storytelling by one of our most exciting new classicists -- Dan Snow Gorgeous. Jasmine Elmer has a fierce passion for these women, and this shines through in her writing. Come for the goddesses, stay for the spiritual journey! -- Lizzy Tiffin, author of Bad Girls of Ancient Greece If you love history and feminist retellings, this is your next must-read. Goddess With a Thousand Faces is a thrilling exploration of lesser-known goddesses from around the world - offering a crash course in feminine myth and worship, with all its power, fury and wonder. I adored it -- Rachel Blackmore, author of Costanza

Author Information

Jasmine is a straight-talking ancient world expert. Her Instagram @Legitclassicist has over 10k followers, and she appeared in TV shows for Channel 4, Channel 5, National Geographic, Discovery Channel and History Hit. She aims to engage the public in relevant and innovative ways to understand the ancient past. She focuses her methods on challenging traditional approaches and uses the modern world as a springboard into the ancient one. Growing up in a mixed-race family, in a council estate in the East End of London, Jasmine knows personally how far removed the ancient world can feel from our hectic modern one. Only gaining access to the study of the ancient world at university, she has directed much of her passion into widening participation in the subject for all. Having spent over twenty years in the field of classical education, she has a wealth of experience in bringing the study of the ancient world to life. Her goal is to show people how to relate personally to their shared ancestry.
