OverviewIn this thought-provoking book, the author exposes irrational religious teachings and encourages readers to think independently and base reasons on common sense and not on beliefs and dogmas. The author questions the assumption that religions are based on the revelations from our Creator. There are multiple questions to pose: what is the soul, and what happens after death? Why are there so many different religions, holy books, and worship rituals? Who were prophets? Why did god conceal himself from humanity? There is no god, but humans created brand-name-gods of religions. Organized religions are spending billions of dollars every year to establish their god as the Creator and are profiting from it handsomely. Millions are making millions in this business. Cut-throat competition, winner takes all, and losers are forced to submit. All religions tell mythical stories and fake miracles. Make false promises and scare people to submission. Make belief gods create make-belief worlds to deliver justice. Is there a living god who can deliver justice in this world and not make promises, or keep issuing threats? To keep god relevant in all situations, we continually flip-flop to makes everything foolproof. The author makes a passionate case for Creator, who is utterly incomprehensible, establishes the laws of nature to manage the affairs of the universe, is impartial and does not interfere in human affairs. Making Creator a party in humans struggles is self-serving. Creator does not need followers, does not demand or reward worship. Humans are capable of taking care of themselves, so they don't need messages coming from heaven. The founders of religions were spiritual leaders who created religion and brand-name-god as their mandate and pretended that his god is the Creator. And that is a grand deception and disservice to humanity. Believers criticize science because they are concerned that science will prove that their religious teachings are false. Sun, Moon, and Stars are planets that revolve around each other in galaxies. Earth is not the center of the universe. There is no sky but infinite space. If there is something we can't explain through science today, it does not mean that some god is doing it. Religions gave us divine kings, feudal lords, slavery, and cast system. Jihads and holy wars. Genocide, inquisitions, and wich burnings. Persecutions, cutting of limbs and stoning to death. Wife beating, honor killings, and blasphemy laws. All on the name of merciful god. The author encourages readers to live their lives, guided by their conscience, and enjoy it while they have it. No make-belief gods or afterlife. You obey the law and forget about divine judgment. Relax, be good, and be happy.
