OverviewGod Protects Little Kids and Drunkards Is a memoir that begins with the birth of the author in 1966 and takes us to the present day. Peppered with commentary of the times and personal stories that are sometimes poignant and relevant, other times they seem to be out of place altogether. It is both laugh out loud funny at times and brutally sad. The true life story of a kid who survived the sixties, seventies, eighties, up to the turn of the century and then some. It breaks the rules of continuity, grammar and everything else they taught us in school in the 80's. There is a lot of talk about recovery, but it is by no means to be used as a reference manual on how to recover. It is however a lesson in getting back up and trying again and possibly even succeeding if you get back up enough times.
