He did his PhD in Early Medieval History at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, under the supervision of Professor Rosamond McKitterick. After completing this in 2018, he became Chaplain of Christ's College, Cambridge and an Affiliated Lecturer in Patristics at the Faculty of Divinity.
