Goals of Dance Technique and Movement: Workbook

Overview

When dancers learn movement or a dance, there is a goal. Whether it is to learn the dance, follow movement directions, or apply dance notes, goals are an important part of learning any style of movement. The goals in dance and movement allow movers to develop their skills, practice effectively, and create beautiful dances for the audience to enjoy. The goals of dance and movement are an essential part of the dance class. Nealya Brunson is currently a dance director and teacher in central Florida. She has dedicated over 20 years to educating students in dance and the arts. Her contributions to the success of her students have resulted in them receiving multiple college acceptances as well as scholarships. Her middle and high school students have also gone to participate in the Florida Dance Performance Assessment, receiving superior and excellent ratings in the areas of Dance Technique and Performance. Over the years, Ms. Brunson has taught many students who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and have become professional dancers, artists, teachers, and choreographers, nationally and internationally. Ms. Brunson worked as a dance program coordinator, choreographing dance performances for many dance and theater programs while also serving as a dance adjudicator in several public schools, universities, and performing arts centers, primarily in the state of Florida.
