Author Information

Steven Wood graduated with a degree in illustration from Birmingham City University. He has illustrated more than 100 books for children with artwork filled with the glorious details that immediately engage his young readers. His main focus is always the cast of characters, bringing life and movement to his artwork. Subtle humour is also a key feature Steve's illustrations, influenced by the adventure stories he loved as a child. Whether they were tales of pirates and sunken treasure, cowboys, knights and dragons, they all shape the pictures he loves to draw. Steven lives and works from his home in North London, England. When not working, his favourite hobby is stealing cookies from his wife and blaming the 'house mouse'.
