The inspiration for this story came during a family trip to Tanzania, where she marveled at how animals worked together to find water-a lesson in teamwork and harmony she knew would captivate young readers and grown-ups alike.Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Liisa now calls the scenic mountains of Asheville, NC home, where she lives with her husband, John. One day, she dreams of creating a series called Kids' Continents, celebrating the unique animals and their cooperative spirits from every corner of the globe. Frederic grew up in Belgium and after high school, he attended the Art Institute of Brussels where he specialized in caricature, cartoon art and illustration.
