Overview

Modern Christianity has been subjected to many re-interpretations which seek to remove elements of mythology and to 'de-mystify' its traditions. But there is also a parallel development in which a strong curretn of renewal finds inspiration from the spirit and essential character of the early Churches. Andrew Welburn taught at the University of London, has been a Fellow of the Warburg Institute and taught at New College, Oxford, until 2005. He is author of several books on the Romantic tradition, and also of The Beginnings of Christianity, and Rudolf Steiner's Philosophy.
