Glued IOL is a short form for Glued Intrascleral Haptic Fixation of a Posterior Chamber IOL. The technique of glued IOL and its modifications along with traditional and cutting-edge surgical interventions are thoroughly explored. The procedure consists of making two partial scleral thickness flaps 180 opposite each other followed by sclerotomy with 20 G needle approximately 1-1.5 mm away from the limbus; beneath the flaps. The tip of the leading haptic is exteriorized from one sclerotomy site with the help of a 23 G glued IOL forceps.
