Reviews

"""By identifying patterns in these meanings and messages-the people, regions, and topics that (do not) garner attention-[Levy] shows how global discourses can suppress and neglect local queer communities and challenges the assumption that an international queer cosmopolitism indicates progress or facilitates emancipation for all queer people and groups ... This volume offers a solid, state-of-the-art analysis of queer activism, local and global media systems, and the creation, circulation, and reception of queer discourse."" --CHOICE"
