BARRY K. GILLS is Senior Lecturer in International Politics in the Department of Politics, University of Newcastle upon Tyne, and Director of the Newcastle Research Working Group on Globalization. He was a founding editor of the Review of International Political Economy, and has acted as guest editor for Third World Quarterly and New Political Economy.
