Author InformationBernadette Hanlon is Associate Professor in the City and Regional Planning Program in the Knowlton School at The Ohio State University, USA. Dr. Hanlon’s research focuses on housing and demographic transformation. She has written about topics such as the rise in suburban poverty and inequality, and the role of immigration in neighbourhood transformation. Most recently, she was co-editor (with Thomas J. Vicino) of The Routledge Companion to the Suburb. This edited book brought together international scholars to write about suburbanization in the global context. Dr. Hanlon has also published articles in the leading peer-reviewed journals in urban studies. Thomas J. Vicino is Dean of the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University in Atlanta, USA, where he is also a Full Professor in the Urban Studies Institute.
