Overview

At present, many new housing projects by Danish firms are under construction in Denmark and abroad. This book presents both an overview and specific case studies of 51 of them, taking in work by 21 trendsetting studios including Arkitema, BIG, Entasis, 3XN and COBE. All projects are illustrated with photographs, plans and computer imaging, and include text descriptions. The book organises projects by housing typologies, with chapters including blocks of flats, park-type housing, terraces, single-family housing and housing for young people and the elderly. Each chapter has an introductory note putting the types in context, and the book also contains essays by the Danish Minister for Culture and the Lord mayor of Copenhagen.
