Athanasios Alexiou is the Head of Research & Education at Funogen Research Company in Greece and AFNP Med Company in Austria, an Adjunct Professor at the University Centre for Research & Development at Chandigarh University in India, and the Department of Science and Engineering at the Novel Global Community Education Foundation (an educational platform registered in Australia). He also collaborates with international research teams (including Yerevan State University, King Abdulaziz University, the University of Sharjah and Damanhour University). His research area is Computational Biomedicine. He also focuses on developing novel mathematical models and algorithms in neurodegenerative diseases, prognostic Bayesian tools for Neurodegenerative disorders, and the ethical implications of scientific research.
