Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationNia Elise Gorman, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, is a 3rd grader soon to be a 5th grader at the River of Life Christian School on the campus of Lighthouse Ministries of Benton Harbor. She is bridging this summer from being a 2 year Brownie Scout to a 2nd year Junior Scout in troop 00124. Nia began reading at the age of 4. By the age of 6 she was reading to her peers in her Kindergarten class. Nia has a love and a passion for reading. She is currently reading at an 8th grade level. When other children are outside playing, she can be found cuddled up with a book on a bean bag or sitting under a tree. A couple of years ago, Nia's mother challenged her to write a book of her own. Struggling with what to write about, Nia decided to write about Girl Scouts and selling those delicious cookies. She hopes that this book will inspire new Girl Scouts in their attempt to set up their first cookie businesses as well as encourage girls who are already in scouting to real their goals. When Nia is not in scouting, she loves to sing, act, dance, swim and play. She enjoys spending time with her mommy on play dates as well as outings with her friends.
