OverviewIt is the catalog of the first Florentine exhibition dedicated to the painter Giovanni Stradano (Jan van der Straet, Bruges 1523 - Florence 1605), held from 17 November 2023 to 18 February 2024 in the rooms of the Palazzo Vecchio Museum. Approximately eighty works are reproduced, including paintings, drawings, prints, books, tapestries and instruments, alongside critical contributions aimed at deepening the figure of this Flemish artist, who in the mid-sixteenth century worked for Grand Duke Cosimo I and was among the main collaborators of Giorgio Vasari.
