The first three books of the Markrah Getting Started with Letter-Row Puzzles are combined in one volume with this book. The Markrah Getting Started with Letter-Row Puzzles books introduce a new type of word puzzle, the Letter-Row Puzzle, for anyone who enjoys working with words and challenging their puzzle solving abilities. The puzzles start with the smallest puzzle grid (20 cells) and easiest puzzles and continue to the largest grid (146 cells) and most difficult puzzles. The object is to enter all the words in the word list into the puzzle grid. Words start in shaded cells, can be spelled in both directions and can overlap with other words. A puzzle's difficulty is based on the number of overlapping letters in words, the number of words being spelled in different directions and the number of words in the list. There are two other sets of Letter-Row Puzzle books that follow the same pattern. One set of books, Letter-Row Lite, contains only 20 cell puzzles. The other set of Letter-Row puzzle books contain 50 puzzles with 146 cell grids and contain words from a variety of categories.
