The third of ten siblings, G. Avery Wilson experienced many things in his troubling childhood. He suffered emotional, mental, physical and sexual abuse. Additionally, we spent a large part of his childhood in foster care moving from home to home; not having the benefit of a stable home. Forced to grow up more quickly than most children, he was faced with many responsibilities adults struggle with managing. Despite these challenges, he was determined not to let negative circumstances overcome him. He is living proof that you can overcome any situation and, with the right attitude, can be successful and live a meaningful life.
