Reviews

'Triplow does a fine job of demonstrating why Lewis's work should be rediscovered' - Jake Kerridge, Daily Telegraph; 'Triplow's excellent biography rightly puts the spotlight back on one of the crucial figures of British crime writing, whose best books have a raw truth and a power which deserve to be far more widely known and appreciated' - Max Decharne, Spectator; 'Getting Carter includes plenty of wonderful detail about the making of the film... there is much more to Lewis than this cult movie, as Triplow makes clear' - Times Literary Supplement; 'Triplow is unsentimental in his study of a man whose work offers much to admire. Perhaps this fascinating portrait is the beginning of an overdue revival' - Ben Myers, New Statesman
