Get Your Groove on the Move is a book that will provide the reader with a detailed overview of both the theoretical and practical aspects of modern music production. It provides a thorough non-specialist introduction to this vast field of expertise in a manner which is neither simplistic nor overly technical. In this book you will learn how to: Produce your own music Understand the process that goes into making an album Learn about all the different aspects of modern music production Get a grasp of the theoretical basics of sound and hearing. Understand the nature of computer music production Learn about electronic musical instruments Learn about the components that make up a recording studio Learn about recording, mixing and mastering an album Gain knowledge on how to promote an album. This book is essential reading for anyone interested in building a career in the music industry, whether you aspire to being a musician, a producer or a sound engineer. Selected Quote's on the book I can say that it provides a very useful overview of the practical and theoretical aspects of contemporary music technology, in terms which are readily understandable to the average student. This book could comfortably form the core of a Music Technology syllabus for schools and universities. Marc Duby, Ph.D. Professor of Musicology at University of South Africa This book is well written and articulated in such a way that its contents could be easily understood, absorbed and the information imparted could be applied by any student who wishes to pursue a career in music technology at tertiary level. I strongly recommend and endorse a book such as this. It would be extremely beneficial if adopted as a text book at institutions with music technology programmes. Professor Hotep Idris Galeta University of Fort Hare, South Africa

Wiggzaro (Andrew Vise) is a musician, producer, sound engineer, performer, composer and an educator, and is currently working from his music production studio in Queens Park, London, having moved to the U.K. from South Africa in 2008 where he was working as the Creative Director and Chief Sound Engineer of PyramidRox Recordings. Wiggzaro has two formal education qualifications behind his name, a B.Soc.Sci (Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Economics) and an N.Dip.Mus (National Diploma in Light Music) He started off in the music industry as a guitarist, and has written music for and played with a number of groups ranging in styles from Ska-Pop (Euphoric Phase) to World Dance (Jungabeez, Dance of Life, Zwalaka) and Afro-Latin-Jazz (Sankambe). He continues to perform under his own Wiggzaro name now. Wiggzaro started his production career programming electronic music on his computer while studying jazz on a formal level. His passion for composing music on computers blossomed into a production career that now sees him working in high demand as both a producer and sound engineer with young and old artists and producers alike, some legendary in stature. Before moving to London Wiggzaro worked as a recording and mix engineer with many of South Africas legendry African and World Music artists such as Caiphus Semenya, Letta Mbulu, Salaelo Selotta, Jonas Gwangwa, Vusi Khumalo and many others. Since being in London Wiggzaro has broadened his skill base and worked with a very diverse collection of artists spanning from over 30 different countries so far. He has been working in styles of music ranging from Irish Folk Rock to Hip Hop to Electro Pop, House, World and Latino music. Wiggzaro's work encompasses a cross spectrum of disciplines that include programming music electronically, arranging and composing for music for artists and recording, mixing and mastering tracks and albums. Before moving full time into music production Wiggzaro worked as a music technology lecturer. He spent five years lecturing electronic music, sound engineering and production and was responsible for the course design and development of educational material as well as designing and installing studios at Eastside College and then Central Johannesburg College. In this time, he grasped the essence of what the most crucial information someone interested in learning about modern music production needs to know.
