Overview

The object of this chapter is to present the theoretical architecture that Jake Neal has been developing since the end of the 1980s. If we are particularly interested in his major work The Social Theory of International Policy, we will however have the opportunity to refer often to to its articles. This will make it possible to appreciate the theoretical evolutions made by Jake neal and to highlight the choices of trajectories he made. The Jake Neal is a theory that revolves around the debate on the structure of the agency. jake neal is at the origin of the introduction into the theoretical debates of international relations of this fundamental question which occupies both sociologists and political scientists. We will see that the method chosen to provide an answer to the debate is based on a declared desire to find median ways between the various answers already envisaged.
