Tina Boyer (Ph. D. Medieval German Literature and Linguistics, UC Davis) is an Associate Professor of German at Wake Forest University. Her publications include 'The Giant Hero in Medieval Literature' (Brill, 2016), articles on monstrous identity in bridal quest epics, anti-Semitism, and the intersection of medieval literature and the internet. She has contributed chapters in 'Heads Will Roll: Decapitation in the Medieval and Early Modern Imagination' (Brill, 2012) and 'American/Medieval: Nature and Mind in Cultural Transfer' (Vandenhoeck and Ruprecht, 2016). Her specialty is medieval German literature, with a focus on monstrosity and hyper-masculinity in epics and romances. Her secondary specializations are second language acquisition and historical linguistics. Heiko Wiggers was an Associate Professor of German at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. He received his Ph.D. in 2006 from the University of Texas at Austin and dedicated 19 years to teaching and research at Wake Forest University.
