MEDHA N. MUNSHI is Director of the Geriatric Diabetes Clinic at the Joslin Diabetes Center and physician, division of Gerontology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, Massachusetts. She is also an instructor in the Department of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Munshi received her M.D. from Maharaja Sayajiro University in Baroda, India, and completed her residency in internal medicine at the Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. She completed fellowships in endocrinology and metabolism, and geriatric medicine, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. LEWIS A. LIPSITZ is Chief of the Division of Gerontology, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, Massachusetts, Vice President for Academic Medicine at Hebrew SeniorLife Institute for Aging Research, Boston, Massachusetts, and Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Lipsitz is a member of the Gerontological Society of America, the American Geriatrics Society, the American Federation for Aging Research, and the American Physiological Society. Dr. Lipsitz received the M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine, Philadelphia. He completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gerontology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, Massachusetts.
