Geopolitical and Economic Consequences of Trade Policies and Tariffs

Overview

Rising protectionist trade policies have intensified global tensions, disrupting long-standing economic partnerships and reshaping the international trade order. These policies have far-reaching consequences, from destabilizing markets and supply chains to straining diplomatic relations among key global players. The ripple effects extend beyond economics, influencing issues such as security, international cooperation, and governance. Understanding these dynamics is critical for anticipating future shifts in global alliances and for crafting strategies that promote stability in an increasingly fractured trade environment. Geopolitical and Economic Consequences of Trade Policies and Tariffs examines the escalation of contemporary trade wars, analyzing their economic, political, and geopolitical consequences on global markets and international relations. Through data-driven case studies and critical analysis, it explores how protectionist policies reshape alliances, disrupt trade governance, and challenge stability of the global economy. Covering topics such as geopolitical risk, international economy, and media narratives, this book is an excellent resource for researchers, academicians, educators, economists, trade professionals, policymakers, and more.
