OverviewThis study analyzed the socio-territorial conflicts existing within the Bom Futuro National Forest, which began with its creation. The degree of anthropization of the Unit is high, a fact that has generated disputes between the agents currently within the Unit and the agencies responsible for the administration of the Bom Futuro National Forest. In view of the socio-territorial conflicts, this study proposed to conduct a study of the scenario in the Conservation Unit in light of geographical knowledge. First, we address theories of territory and then territory management to provide the necessary basis for the work. Next, Brazilian environmental policy will be analyzed through a brief history showing Brazil's difficult journey in preserving the environment, the progress the country has made over the years in trying to protect the remaining forests, and researchers' theories on the subject. Next, we present the main entry points for invaders and the relationship between the border municipalities and the National Forest. In the results, we show the problems arising from human action within the Bom Futuro National Forest.
