OverviewBest known for his unconventional portraits of celebrities, photographer Chris Buck searched for the subject of his newest book, in his words, in the place where strength and vulnerability coexist. The result is Buck's most surprising and compelling work: Gentlemen's Club: Partners of Exotic Dancers. Through forty photo sittings and interviews, and with the foreword by author and former dancer Lily Burana, Gentlemen's Club examines this untold aspect of the human connection, laying bare the conflict and complexities of this intense life. Buck's striking images and insightful interviews capture these relationships in unvarnished terms, juxtaposing the reality of everyday life and the fantasy world dancers occupy when working.
