Overview

This manual outlines the theoretical development and describes in detail, computer programs for the use of engineers in their assessment of the behaviour of electrical rotating machines in response to normal and abnormal operating conditions. This suite caters for traditional generation systems. Of particular importance to consulting engineers is the performance of generator controls and switchgear operating times in relation to the retention of plant stability. This aspect, together with the effect on the generation plant mechanical system, are given prominence in the use of the software provided. This suite of programs can be run on any PC system operating under MS-DOS 3.3 or higher. A 486 or 386 PC system with a maths co-processor is recommened and the package is supplied on 3.5"" disk. This book should be of interest to engineers in power engineering.
